The special edition Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona features a white gold case and ceramic bezel

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is celebrating its 100th year, extending its record as the world's oldest endurance race. The race's official timepiece Rolex will be gifting this year's winners with a specially engraved Cosmograph Daytona watch.

At the same time, Rolex has released, for public sale, a new Cosmograph Daytona fitted with Calibre 4132 that doubles the time measurement of calibre 4131, unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2023, from 12-hour chronograph to 24-hour chronograph to suit Le Mans.

The automatic Calibre 4132 boasts several enhancements for improved performance and efficiency. For one, it boasts a Chronergy escapement in nickel-phosphorus with a blue Parachrom hairspring that are resistant against magnetic interference. Additionally, the oscillating weight in 18-karat yellow gold is mounted on a patented Paraflex shock absorbers. 

The waterproof Oyster case is crafted in 18-karat white golds with a Cerachrom bezel in black ceramic featuring a tachymeter scale etched with the number "100" in red ceramic. It comes with a classic reverse Panda dial and an Oyster bracelet.
