Gucci announces its latest series of Gucci Pins, dedicated to the Gucci Diana—and it's here in Hong Kong
Following the success of its Gucci Garden Archetypes exhibition in Hong Kong, Gucci unveils its latest series of Gucci Pins—the ephemeral stores inspired by the pins seen on interactive maps—this time, dedicated to the Gucci Diana. The bamboo handle tote was first presented by the fashion house in 1991 which creative director, Alessandro Michele reimagined in the Gucci Diana.
Distinguished by the removable, neon leather belts, the current design is a nod to the functional bands that once came with the original bag to maintain the shape of the handles that Michele expressed in his contemporary take on the archival elements.

The Gucci Diana Pin is debuting at Landmark Atrium in Central and as soon as guests cross the entrance, they are greeted with dramatically framed moiré curtains and find themselves in a performative setting. The pattern on the fitted carpet, a reinterpretation of the one used on a series of Gucci Diana, is paired with a terraced display's set-up, covered in three-dimensional mirrors.
Continuing the spirit of the Gucci Diana, the Pin evokes a certain era and a timelessly attractive one. The reinterpreted design speaks of constant evolution and reinvention, fluidity, freedom and embracing fashion as a powerful medium of self-expression.
During its private opening event on July 6, Gucci welcomed guests at the Gucci Pin pop-up to celebrate the arrival of the Gucci Diana handbag collection, including blogger and Gen.T honouree Charles Lam, fashion stylist and blogger Faye Tsui, Hong Kong singer and actress Sammi Cheng and more.
