Discover how Lee Jae Wook pulls off his outfits so well each time

If you’ve seen Extraordinary You, Alchemy of Souls, or When the Weather is Fine, then you probably know Lee Jae Wook. Born in 1986, he debuted in Memories of the Alhambra in 2018 and now boasts a diverse discography. Despite valuing education and attending Chung-Ang University’s Department of Theater and Film, he took a leave of absence in January 2023 to focus on his growing acting career.

The actor recently made international headlines when Dispatch reported that he and K-pop group Aespa’s Karina are dating each other. Both of them allegedly became closer after attending the Prada show at Milan Fashion Week in January 2024.

Aside from his roster of works and personal life, Lee is also a fashion icon, with most of his public appearances newsworthy due to his fashion choices. We list some of his best looks in this article.

1. Denim vs denim

Is the Canadian tuxedo ringing any bells? Head-to-toe denim has resurged for quite some time given the rise of casual yet cool dressing. Lee wears this trend with pride, having been seen in it during Ferragamo’s ‘A Fresh Perspective’ pre-fall collection in June 2023 and Chanel’s Parfumeur Masterclass at Hwigyumjae in January 2023.

2. The man in black

The actor loves solid colours obviously, with monochromatic ensembles usually gracing his person. In this picture, Lee is in an all-black outfit with sleek tailoring that screams off-duty chic.

3. High-waist, good taste

Clothes are meant to make the most out of your body, and Lee knows this well. In an opportunity to flaunt his small waist, he wears a grey, high-waisted suit for the #PradaFW24 womenswear collection, allowing his fans and casual readers alike to marvel at his statuesque form.

4. All dressed in white

Lee was spotted sporting a creamy-white jacket-and-pants combination for the Delvaux renewal opening event on May 2023. If you are looking for something smart but still relatively relaxed, then selecting your best white clothes from your wardrobe can be a good option.

5. The best in vests

Why is wearing a vest a good fashion statement? Because it elevates a man’s—or woman’s—look, exuding confidence and sophistication. It also gives the wearer a sense of creativity by layering vests with either tees or collared shirts.

Tatler tip: Combine with tailored trousers or jeans for a smart, academia aesthetic.

6. The shorter, easier route

You can easily pair any top—sweaters, collared shirts, turtlenecks, among many others—with shorts. It’s one of the best choices when you have a quick gathering with friends or when you want to look younger. Lee wore one when he attended Fendi’s ‘In Love with My Peekaboo’ campaign in March 2023.

7. Over with oversized tops? So not.

All things baggy are still in the competition. Versatile, comfortable, and able to adapt to quickly changing fashion trends, they give off an effortless and cool look without trying too hard.
