This month, we see hotels around Asia unveiling new launches and experiences.

For one, JW Marriott Resort and Spa has opened its first hotel in South Korea while W Hotels has announced its new hotel in Macau. Dog lovers can revel in The Standard Hua Hin’s latest pooch offerings, available throughout the month of August. Chef Sergio Herman will make his Asian debut this year as he launches a new contemporary European restaurant and cafe Le Pristine at Hotel Toranomon Hills in Tokyo, Japan.

1. The Standard Hua Hin

If you love travelling with your dog, you will love staying at The Standard. Available from now until August 31, get to pamper your pooch with the hotel’s Doggie Dining, offering a range of meat and fish treats for your pup. Then, cool off from the heat with Juice Cafe’s puppy-safe ice cream. Get to spend quality time with your furkid when you attend The Standard’s Paw & Poses dog and human yoga, located at the hotel’s Lido rooftop.

2. W Macau

W Hotels has announced its new hotel in Macau. Opening on September 8, W Macau — Studio City is inspired by films shot in Macau in the 1950s. Stay at the Wow suite, a 150 sqm space decked in floor-to-ceiling windows, walk-in closet, marble bathroom and more. While you’re here, explore the hotel’s various food and beverage concepts, like A.P.D. speakeasy, an explosive space serving up tantalising cocktails.

3. Hotel Toranomon Hills

Hyatt has collaborated with Sergio Herman group to launch Le Pristine Tokyo, a casual fine dining restaurant and cafe set to open in winter 2023. Helmed by chef Sergio Herman himself, Le Pristine will serve up contemporary European cuisine. This will also be the Dutch chef’s Asian debut. While the full menu has not been revealed, diners can look forward to dishes comprising produce from Zealand in the Netherlands and seasonal Japanese ingredients.

4. JW Marriott Jeju Resort & Spa

JW Marriott Resort and Spa has opened its first hotel in South Korea. Located in Jeju Island, the latest space is inspired by the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site’s rich heritage and natural beauty. Take a stroll through the JW Garden or relax with a hot stone and deep tissue massage at the spa. The luxurious Panorama suite offers floor-to-ceiling windows that look out to stunning views of the ocean. The 93sqm space is complete with an oversized bathtub, separate living room, private balcony and more.

5. Ayana Estate

Popular Bali resort Ayana Estate has introduced its latest Traditional Herbal Remedies workshop. In collaboration with The Jam Bar, this workshop pays homage to jamu, Indonesia’s traditional herbal elixirs. Available on Tuesdays and Thursdays every week, this workshop will see guests crafting their own jamu. They will also have the opportunity to pick their own herbs from over 130 plant varieties on the farm.
