Moses Ingram, the latest addition to the 'Star Wars' family, speaks to Tatler about becoming Reva and representation in a galaxy far, far away
Starring Star Wars OGs Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen, and joined by cast members Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie, Obi-Wan Kenobi is the highly anticipated new limited Lucasfilm series created exclusively for Disney+.
McGregor reprises his role as the venerable Jedi Master while Christensen returns to play Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.
Obi-Wan Kenobi begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his Jedi apprentice Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. While deeply rooted in the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, the series will bridge the gap between the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy.

Of course, every good story needs a great antagonist and in Obi-Wan Kenobi, it’s the Inquisitors. Led by the Grand Inquisitor, the Inquisitors are enforcers recruited by the Empire and directed by Darth Vader to hunt down and kill all remaining Jedi. Reva, played by Moses Ingram, is the 'Third Sister' Inquisitor and an exceptionally skilled warrior. She's singularly focused on accomplishing the Empire’s long-held goal of eradicating Jedi from the galaxy.
For Ingram, who made her TV debut in 2020's The Queen's Gambit, becoming a part of the Star Wars family was something she had never imagined. She speaks to Tatler about becoming Reva and representation in a galaxy far, far away.
What was your initial reaction when you heard that you got the role?
I was shocked. There were definitely moments of silence (laughs) on the Zoom with Deborah Chow (Obi-Wan Kenobi director). I think my exact words were, “Oh... okay. Cool.”
Can you tell us about your costume, make-up, and especially your amazing hair?
Our costume designer Suttirat Anne Larlarb is amazing. She built this costume before she even knew who would step into it and it sort of lends itself to a feeling—you step into it and you have no choice but to stand with your chest out.
Also, Chow was really great about allowing me to have input on the character. It was really important for me to have the character’s hair do something that my hair did naturally and so she was really great about incorporating my vision, which is how we ended up with the braids.

What was it like working with McGregor and Christensen?
They lead by example. They were so gracious and willing to share. Being on set, there were so many fans who just wanted to be around them and or wanted to hold the lightsaber (laughs) and take a picture.
