After six years of waiting, fans of the English singer-songwriter will finally be able to hear new music on October 15

Since returning to the public eye, Adele has been on a hot streak with a successful run as the host of SNL under her belt and a new, Instagram-official relationship with American sports agent boyfriend, Rich Paul. And it would seem that the Someone Like You singer is finally ready to release new music after taking a six-year hiatus.

In her mysterious black-and-white teaser video, Adele puts a cassette tape into her car radio, takes a look into the rearview mirror and hits the open road to the opening piano notes of her new song, Easy On Me. With more than a million views within minutes of her announcement on social media, fans have been sharing their excitement for the upcoming song and, potentially, a new album—rumoured to be titled 30.

There has been much speculation about Adele’s musical comeback in the recent months. In February, her hit song Hello was used to promote NFL football player Tom Brady’s return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which sparked rumours that the 33-year-old singer would announce her new album at this year’s Superbowl. Her global network of fans have also noticed projections of the number ‘30’ on landmarks in London, Rome, Paris and New York City

While it is not officially confirmed, the release of a new single is a hopeful sign for a full-length album. It would be her fourth studio album, following 25 and 21, both of which have earned Adele 15 Grammys and continue to be the best-selling albums of the 21st century with such unforgettable songs as Rolling In The Deep and Set Fire To The Rain.
