As your living room is where you typically receive guests during house visits, spruce up the area and usher good luck in with touches of red and gold. “Try adding some decorative cushions with auspicious colours to add vibrancy to the living area,” suggests Tay. For those who wish to go all out, celebrate the Year of the Tiger by adorning your home with stylish tiger-themed decor.

If you find your home cluttered with bottles upon bottles of snacks, Tay suggests gathering them together for a fun decor centrepiece. “Create a Chinese New Year goodies store at home by placing the snacks into beautiful receptacles of varying heights; this also signifies bountiful blessings.”
